Recent progress in artificial intelligence (AI) is creating significant impacts across various sectors, driving relentless innovation. In this context, businesses must adapt to the rapidly changing behavior and expectations of users while keeping pace with advancing technology.
For instance, advancements in AI have led to the emergence of models such as Elon Musk’s xAI’s Grok 2 beta, which poses a challenge to Google’s dominance in search.
Grok 2 has the capability to scan the entire internet in real-time, delivering timely results and analyses. Previously, Grok was already capable of analyzing posts from X social media, providing insights from experts on trending topics.
Another AI contender, Perplexity Online, is also recognized for its abilities and features on OpenAI’s list of notable competitors. However, Perplexity’s analytical functions are limited, and Grok is noted for its superior performance, particularly its integration with 𝕏.
X on Grok’s Ability to Challenge Google
Commentators on Musk’s platform have shared their views on the new capabilities of the AI and its recent advancements.
“Grok just replaced Google,” stated Preston Henshaw in a post dated November 17. “Grok is now a search engine that can access the entire internet, not just information from 𝕏.”
In light of Henshaw’s assertion, Mario Nawfal evaluated the abilities of Grok 2 by posing the same question to both Grok and Google. Nawfal highlighted how Elon Musk’s AI provides comprehensive answers to inquiries that Google typically only addresses with links.
“Now that Grok can access real-time information through web searches, it can answer questions Google only gives you links to. For example, asking Google how to cancel Amazon Prime yields links to Amazon, whereas Grok gives you step-by-step instructions along with links to walk you through the process.”

Looking Ahead for xAI’s Grok
Similar to its competitors, xAI, the subsidiary of X Corp responsible for Grok’s development, is continually seeking enhancements to its AI model.
Notably, Hieu Pham, a member of xAI’s technical team and former research scientist with Google Brain, made an intriguing announcement on 𝕏 regarding the future of Grok 3.
In a post, Pham asserted that Grok 3 successfully proved Riemann’s hypothesis, addressing one of the most challenging unsolved problems in mathematics. He indicated that development has been temporarily halted to verify the correctness of this proof.
However, the community and commentators have understandably expressed skepticism regarding such a bold statement, with many referring to it as “sarcasm” and “bait.”
As developments unfold, the market remains attentive to Grok, Google, and other key players in the fields of information and AI. The technology is beginning to leave an impression across various sectors, including stock markets and cryptocurrency. Experts, however, suggest that we are only at the beginning of a much larger journey.
